Life and Times of Playboy Bunnies

Hello all,

as Mad Men won´t return before 2012 Iam searching for a substitute series to kill time. A few days ago new 60s series "The Playboy Club" started. I checked it out. Iam not sure it can grab me though. It is a tad too predictable and cliche for me, but the hair and the clothes are great.

I wonder how you can kill a mobster and your hair is a mess, than 5 minutes later it is perfect again, than you shower and ruin your whole setting and approximately an hour after you had the shower it is perfect again. Dear make up deartment... Make up your mind. Either it stays perfect all the time or it doesn´t!!! Boy did this BOTHER ME!!! (If you know how to manage to instant repair your retro hair I hope you let me know...) I think I will give it a few more episodes to make up my mind about it... Until than.... Eye-candy!

Spring is not here yet - but we´re getting there!!!

Hello everyone,

it is still damn cold, but the sky was blue so I grabbed John and my camera and we went outside!

This is the only photo I made. Afterwards John rediscovered his love for photography and took it from me. This is what we see when we walk to the media harbour. I love the cats painted on that house!!! I wonder who did that!

As you can tell by the many many cars we were not the only ones with this idea! I was also lazy as you can tell by the 60s do. Whenever I´m lazy I just tease the hell out of my hair and that´s it. If I want to make an effort I pin curl my hair or use an curling iron. So NOT happening today :-D
We enjoyed the sight sipping our coffee and eating muffins and cake.
Note my shorts poking out. Actually I wear a dress. But I don´t like short dresses and to avoid my tight from slipping I put shorts under it. It looked silly, but I put a striped belt to the dress, which made it even more sillier, but at least looking sort of intentional. What can I say? IAM SILLY (and the tights stayed up all the way) :-D

Let´s bump it - with bumpits

There are days where I´m just lazy and can´t be bothered wih setting my hair. However I have the straightest and most boring hair one can imagine. And if I atempt to do a sleek 60s style and tease and tease and tease my hair and spray and spray and spray it with hairspray it will just sink down again within the next 2 hours. This SUCKS. So I was curious when I heard about bumpits. They are not available in Germany, but I got them on ebay for just a few bucks. What do those thingies look like and how do you use them anyway? And here comes my review. (excuse the bad photo, but I was just about to leave for shopping, so I just snapped a self in the bathrom mirror). They are indeed easy to use. I just teased my hair, attached the bumpit under it and smoothed the hair over the bumpit. What I didn´t see however was that my hair was a bit too short for the huuuuge bumpit I took, hence I realised that one could see it a bit if you saw my back. By that time I was in town though and didn´t give a damn.

Next time I will use the one that is one size smaller or take a bigger hair-section. Besides that I find it fab. My hair stayed up and up and up eventhough I was changing in the dressingroom and pulled the sweater over my head. In my oppinion it is a good investment for lazy hair days!!! And also if you wanna go for a 60s look or an updo.

The next thing I wanna test is Benefits Dr. Feelgood vs. Shills Miss Perfect. They are supposed to do the same, let´s see who´ll be the winner.
