A little bit of spring....

Dear all,

I´m having 4 days off. Yay!!! Yesterday I went and shot for the project http://www.360-pinup.de/ - I will let you know when something is up. And today I have a day of complete freedom without any plans. Oh well, not really. I wanna go and stop by my fave Second Hand Shop in Düsseldorf "Le Freak and chic". As I still have some time I made a little spring inspired make up with some new things that I got to test them...

Nails: P2 last forever nail polish in "Open your heart". I´ve had it on since Thursday without an coat of clear polish and it lasts and lasts.

Things I used:
Make up: L´Oreal Studio Secrets high definition smoothing foundation in Gold Porcelain (I have yet to find a cheaper foundation that matches my skin tone so well)

Powder: Something from Yves Rocher mixed by Baby Powder to make it Pale enough for me

Blush: Alverde Puder Rouge "Flamingo" (very nice and more subtle than the name and the colour suggest, however good enough to make me look fresh and healthy)

Eyes:
Base: P2 Eye Souffle "Dreamy Cream" (it is discontinued, but you can still grab it for a bargai. It is water proof and I love using it as a shimmery base)
Eye Shadow: Nyx Palette - The Runway Collection "Romance",
Eyeliner (light blue): Alverde Liljana, Eyeliner (black): Essence, so worn out that I can´t read the name anymore.
Mascara: P2 Big Drama (makes nice lashes, but I wouldn´t say it has more of an false eye lash effect than others. Like the brush.)

Lips: P2 pure color "Walk of Fame" (way pinker in person!)

party glam and city tec

Hi everyone,

It´s cold and we even had a bit snow!!!

Here are some photos that I took with my mobile on my way to work! When I woke up this morning there was even more, BUT it melted before I even got outside....

Today I was experimenting with some new make up again.

Mahattan Party Glam Eyeshadow in wildberry and the P2 Mascara City Tec.

My review: The deal with the mascara is that it rotates automatically which is a great idea, but it also has the risk of making your lashes clumpy and stick together. You can see that a bit on my pictures. The only way to prevent it is to stop between the layers and let it dry. Time intensive, but the results are better.

I really like Manhattan Eyeshadow because it goes on very smooth and I really like the colour. it is sort of violetish browns. Very shimmery and glamorous. I think it makes a great eyeshadow for X-Mas, New Year or any other fancy occassion. It looks prettier in real life than on my photos.

Weekend

Oh my, the weekend was waaaaaay too short! I had to work this Saturday cause there was much work left over from the X-Mas holidays and went just afterwards to meet my dear friend Julie aka Marnie van Helsing aka Luckydiva.com. It got late... (2 in the monring *cough*cough*) but we hadn´t seen each other for two years! I´m quiet positive we will see each other more often now :-)

So I slept the half of Sunday and got up very late for my understanding. Well, as I said: It was a too short weekend! I´m extremely tired now, but I have something to look forward to tommorow: We bought a milk-steamer now, so tommorow I´ll drink a caramel machiatto with milk-cream (yay) and I got me a new mascara... but not any mascara (I don´t write that much about my cosmetic articles here) it was the first water-proof mascara back in 1936 and it´s STILL IN PRODUCTION!!! Over here: http://www.labellanussy.com/

I got me the classic one as it is the original one like they sold it back than. ALL filmstars used it. I have a make up book from the 50s that still recommends it, so I guess still than nothing better was around and their guestbook is full of ladies that used it for 30+ years and still love it... Did I find the perfect mascara for me now? We´ll see....
