Goodbye summer days

Hi everyone!

This morning there was so much fog that it felt like my train is driving into nowhere. When we passed the bridge over the Rhine I saw.... NOTHING. It was a bit scary, but very fascinating. That said I do think that summer is definetly OVER.

It is this now.

And this is over for at least 7 months or so.Both pictures where taken in the same park just around the corner. More dublicities: Both feature something green. The green dress was purchased via ebay (custom made by Top Runway), the bikini and the shoes were ebay finds, too.

I wanted to have something with plaids on it, so I bought this skirt and hope I can wear it soon in our rainy and uncomfy weather!

What´s more? I plan to work on a new outfit this weekend. I might tell you more about it later. If the weather should be surprisingly beautifull I might visit a flea market in the morning, given that Iam in the mood and don´t wake up verrrrrry late :-D

Fall is on it´s way, I have a flu and I badly need to cheer up

Hi everyone,

it stroke me like lightning! A flu that is. I left work earlier on Thursday as I was on 3 different medications at once (2 beeing herbal, 1 beeing chemical) and still got more and more miserable with every minute. And since than I haven´t left my bed anymore.

The good thing is that I got to watch a bunch of movies, what I usually don´t really find the time to do (I watched "The innocents", "Mrs. Pettigrew lives for a day" and "The Cats Meow" as well as many episodes of "My Name is Earl" which totally is not retro-themed :-D). I tried new eye shadows, but the photos are unwatchable as the cold is not really helping my looks :-D

The bad thing: The pain in my head, the pain of my poor nose and I had to cancel visiting the Burlesque exibition and show that I wanted to visit today. That is really upsetting because this would have been the 2nd live show I ever saw and my first one in Germany. (I saw my first one 2 years ago in... Sweden.)

In an effort to cheer myself up I bought me this dress on ebay, though... It is a bit too big, but that´s nothing I can´t fix. Asthe neck is rather high I think it could become a great dress for fall! I love the colour and the buttons and the cute detail on the pockets. Green and turqouise allways suit me and look nice with my hair!

I have bought another dress for fall but John isn´t very fond of it, he feels the neckline should be a few centimeters lower to be more harmonic, but I think if I wear a nice necklace with it it should make the neckline appear longer. I will experiment with it when I´m back on my feet.

Oh well, I hope to be back on my feet soon cause my back hurts from laying around all day and I seriously run out of magazines and reading material...

Btw: Anyone knows a good online store for wool-pantyhose in more interesting colours than black, grey and brown? I would like to have funny coloured wollen stockings cause fall is depressing enough!

The past week wasn´t too nice for me. Tons of unpleasant surprises, however as I have to do something so I won´t drown in my own misery I was finally checking out my camera today. After some indoor tries with the camera timer, how far away I got to stand to make a full lenght pic and which height is the best for my camera (I have a tripod, however I don´t find it right now so I was taking a suitcase and put books on it to add height. Looked very weird and not very professional, but did the job) I went outdoors to the park in the neighborhood.

After running back and forth from the camera, observed by stunned dog-walkers (one guy was standing there 5 minutes watching me run back and forth) my lungs sure hurted a lot - however I´m quiet pleased with the pics if you keep in mind that this was my first time :-) I´m quiet positive I´ll take some x-mas themed pics next week if I find a good angle for my apartment. ;-) I guess there´ll be much more Sari-pics in 2009 now that I can just pick up the camera when inspiration catches me.

The dress is by Top Runway (http://stores.ebay.com/TopRunway) and if Cynthia likes the pic I took you might find me in one of her next ebay-auctions. It is the Liz-dress in leaf green with half-lenght sleeves in case you wonder ;-) It really fits perfect!



The last one is my favourite. It was really the wind blowing up the skirt (as you can tell by the weird leaf flying by ;-)
