Beeing sick I have soooooooo much time!

I feel my cold is getting better, but than that could be because I drug myself with Wick Medi Night every evening. The sniffling is way less, yet my nose hurts when I get into the cold or dry air. I have an energy overflow right now though.

I had to leave home for a little while to buy food and more Medi Night drugs (seriously, they should sponsor my blog), did the laundry, brought out the trash, watched a few episodes of Dexter Season 1... and now Iam bored. I don´t dare doing much more and risk a throw back. Yet this day is still sooooooooooo long!!!

On the bright site I found that the Schmitt and Schäfer Collection photo is featured on the Dirndl Website www.lawango.com <3 Yay!!!!! I guess this means the Promo-Season has started!!! :-)

Cause I´m a sicko

Hello everyone,

today I went to a doctor and was written off sick until next Wednesday! To quote the doctor "there is no way you are back on your feet by Monday". umpf. 

Wouldn´t be such a drama if I wouldn´t be eager to start living on the normal side of life again. I was on vacation in my old hometown last week and you can barely do anything but to walk Moms dog there so I looked forward to doing things in Neuss again. Things such as.... sewing a new dress, eating ice cream, go out for coffee and cake and enjoying myself. You know, the stuff normal people do!

By day one back at work I realised it won´t happen. I felt so poorly I went home early. Yesterday I stayed home altogether and today I went to the doctor. So welcome to isolation! I am bored already. I know I am supposed to stay in bed, but I tidyed up Johns working table, did laundry and started to unpack my vacation bags. Even mailed to work to ask whether they have any translations I could do for them. 5 more days like that ahead plus possibly sleeping problems cause my Wick Medi Night decided to stop working last night. OH....MY..... On the up-side: Hey, I have a new thing to be depressed about.

Maybe I should do a dramatic diary to keep track of my sickness?!

Fall is on it´s way, I have a flu and I badly need to cheer up

Hi everyone,

it stroke me like lightning! A flu that is. I left work earlier on Thursday as I was on 3 different medications at once (2 beeing herbal, 1 beeing chemical) and still got more and more miserable with every minute. And since than I haven´t left my bed anymore.

The good thing is that I got to watch a bunch of movies, what I usually don´t really find the time to do (I watched "The innocents", "Mrs. Pettigrew lives for a day" and "The Cats Meow" as well as many episodes of "My Name is Earl" which totally is not retro-themed :-D). I tried new eye shadows, but the photos are unwatchable as the cold is not really helping my looks :-D

The bad thing: The pain in my head, the pain of my poor nose and I had to cancel visiting the Burlesque exibition and show that I wanted to visit today. That is really upsetting because this would have been the 2nd live show I ever saw and my first one in Germany. (I saw my first one 2 years ago in... Sweden.)

In an effort to cheer myself up I bought me this dress on ebay, though... It is a bit too big, but that´s nothing I can´t fix. Asthe neck is rather high I think it could become a great dress for fall! I love the colour and the buttons and the cute detail on the pockets. Green and turqouise allways suit me and look nice with my hair!

I have bought another dress for fall but John isn´t very fond of it, he feels the neckline should be a few centimeters lower to be more harmonic, but I think if I wear a nice necklace with it it should make the neckline appear longer. I will experiment with it when I´m back on my feet.

Oh well, I hope to be back on my feet soon cause my back hurts from laying around all day and I seriously run out of magazines and reading material...

Btw: Anyone knows a good online store for wool-pantyhose in more interesting colours than black, grey and brown? I would like to have funny coloured wollen stockings cause fall is depressing enough!

So it´s valentines day now

Hi everyone,

I have been a bit down this week which was due to finding out that my father-in-law to be has cancer. In the past 8 months my grandfather died, my great-grandmother died, I had a nightmare of a friend dying in a carcrash and so warned him (fortunetly as he was going on a long journey by car that very day which I didn´t knew) and me thinking I might have cancer myself at a point. If you ask me Dead must have a crush on me, otherwise he wouldn´t visit me so often lately :-(

For the moment I´m at least over the shock and start doing a bit better. I did my best to cheer myself up all week and I have at least stopped to feel like crying all the time cause it all is just too much. We will see what happens and can´t do much right now anyway.

So it is Valentines day. however John has to work so I don´t know wether we will do anything at all tonight. I would love to take him out for dinner, but we´ll see how tired he is.

I went shopping in the mall today and got me nice new clothes (there is a lot of retro inspired stuff around right now!!! Including pretty Burlesque-ish head-pieces for low prices) and a massage for my back (they have fabulous massage chairs there!). Though we ate tons of salad during the week I decided to cheat today and got me some chinese pasta for lunch. and than I got a amazing idea on how to promote myself when I look for a new job. But I won´t tell for now. It is still some months to go till I will start to write out to the companies that are interesting to me and I don´t want you to steal my idea, ya know... ;-) Just be aware that it will be unusual and a big media-stunt.
