Interview at the SugarShape Blog

Hello everyone,

I already posted about it on Facebook, but if you only read my blog you maybe didn´t hear about it yet. SugarShape interviewed me for a new blog series. Check it out if you´d like to read about my personal Styling tipps and how it is to be a pin up Girl. Sorry, the blog is only available in German.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Interview!

Hi everyone,

I´m very happy to announce that there is a interview with me on pinup-fashion.de.
The website is quiet new (I think I heard about it the first time early this year?!) but already has over 8600 people following on facebook (I bet they easily hit the 9000 mark this year!!!). It features interviews, national and international online-shops and really nice articles targeted towards the ladies among the retro-philes! So I´m happy and proud that my interview is part of it :-)

It is in German, but my foreign readers can use google translator to get a version in their language of choice: http://translate.google.com/

What a fab way to start the morning!!!!

My Mom

I left my great-grandmothers 99th birthday for a few hours and came back to discover that my Mom had shown around the newspaper with me on it to the whole family-members around - and the neighbours. Oh boy... Moms.... ;-)

I wonder if she´ll show up on tommorows shooting, too. As we shot in a town with about 11 citizens she should track us down pretty fast ;-)

As you may noticed I´m in the outback of Germany now...the white spot on the map... In.... Höchst/Odenwald. Though I discovered there are actually Odenwald videos on youtube?! I just don´t really have time to check those out... I have to go to sleep now to be ok for the shoot... We´ll meet up at the market place as that is the easiest point to find.

Good morning Germany

So today I fell out of bed early because I knew I´ll be in the "Express". While Joh got up and stumbled back to bed I was getting dressed, got breakfast and picked up the newspaper. First page nothing (it was in discussion to put one pic on the first page.). hmmmm..... So while I paid the newspaper I was flipping trough and suddenly saw the big big headline with a big big photo of mine. The quotings of mine are correct, too (no matter where they write something there´s allways something quoted wrong), there´s promo for my workshop... me happy.

Uhhhhhh!

This Tuesday I´ll be having a interview at a big German boulevard newspaper that appears in the whole region I´m in and it will be in the Sunday edition, too, so tons of people will read it. They wanna write about my story. Like how I started with pin up and why a young lady my age does that etc. I telephoned with the lady that will do the interview and she seems really nice. I have a good feeling about it.

I´ll keep you updated on it! Let´s hope they are pleased enough so they´ll release it.

For the German readers: Put on Sat 1 NOW cause in a few minutes you will see Sweet Audrey one of my fave pin up pupils in a doku about her! (she´s the lady in the military outfit in the RTL doku) I hope it will be great!!! But she´s such a great lady it can´t get too bad ;-) She´ll also save it with the online-videorecorder I recommended to her so I guess it will be up on the net soon after that. Yay!

So how did it go?

I´m sure you wonder how it was with the tv-team ;-)

It started off at my home with tons of lightning (and that was damn hot). Now what looks natural and normal in the video has to be repeated many many times. Plus: Never stare in the camera. Which was the hardest part for me. However I worked with a very nice team eventhough they were very strict with what to do so it was ok :-)

Waaaay later than planned we arrived at the workshop and they off course filmed preparations, the girls during shooting, me styling them etc. And than came the big surprise for the girls: We went outdoor with our outfits to snap some pics there - in a shopping street while the tv-team caught impressions ot the people around which went from "Freaks" to "oh I remember that´s how people walked around after war" and "they look fab, but I wouldn´t dare to walk around like that".

After 10,5 hours of massive filming and styling I fell into my bed and in a deep sleep shortly...

Thanks to the amazing and talented ladies, off course to Jean for taking fab pics, our wonderfull sponsors providing us with make up, t-shirts, stockings and vouchers and our strict but very nice TV-team taking care of us! You all were great!

The report will be broadcasted in 10-12 days as a part of RTL Punkt 12. Try to catch it if you can (And can someone please record it for little me??? It takes a few weeks until the tv-channel can make a copy for us!!!)

stress stress stress

So.... I´m extremely busy tidying up my apartment for the interview this week. Question: How to keep 30 squaremeters nice and tidy? Whoevercan answer that is welcome to drop me a mail ;-)

I´m extremely busy right now. This weekend I had a shooting as it was cooling down and I was in the mood for it (plus I really wanted a pic of a hair-thingie I made for my shop ;-)

So now I´m back to tidying up - we don´t want to shock the tv-folks, right? right? Otherwise a nice docu might turns into a "look how horrid pin up girls are living"-stuff... Plus off course I wanna please everyone. TV, my ladies, the photographer, myself. So I´m working hard.
